Week 6

I apologize for the pictures all over, Im not quite sure how to get them in how I want them. I chose to Draw The Morton Salt girl in victorian style.  During the Victorian period the style was lacy and little girls wore big bows in their hair, I tried to incorporate these things into my sketch. I also chose to make the Red Cross logo in Arts and Crafts. Arts and Crafts used lots of busy geometric shapes and nature in their work so I incorporated that into my sketch.

  1. I like how the arts and crafts design really relates well with that design style. I like the curvy, flowy elements. The letters with the ornaments looks congested in the squares, which goes along with being busy.

  2. I really enjoy these designs. The top one would look really cool if it was really busy in the background. I like how you incorporate floral into you designs as well. Your bottom design is really cute and I like the simplicity of it. Bringing this into illustrator and adding color would look really cool and give it a soft effect.

  3. I really like your arts and crafts style design for the red cross. The typography really relates well to the style. I feel it could be busier though, perhaps incorporating the floral pattern with the rest of the design instead of just confined to the letters and cross.
