This past week we talked about illuminated manuscripts, which were created to be very fancy and colorful so that they would catch people's attention. These manuscripts were used to interest people in Christianity. Today this technique of using fancy type and color is still used to catch people's attention. This image looks like it is being used as a business card or to promote this person. This is an example of illuminated manuscript today.
I really liked this image because it fits well with what we were talking about in the past week. The color really draws my attention to the piece and so does the format of the business card.
